K-9 "Dep"
1996 - 2004

Idaho Search and Rescue
Dogs has lost another of its dogs. “Dusty Deputy Dawg”
, call name “Dep”, was killed May 30, 2004 at
the age of eight. Dep was a great working dog and a
wonderful companion to his handler Brian Morris. Dep
earned his AKC Senior Hunter title before he began his career in
search and rescue. Dep was a high drive Labrador
retriever that quickly excelled at water search. He
certified with ISARD in land and water cadaver and indicated the
location of several drowning victims during his career. Dep
had a wonderful, friendly temperament that made him a favorite
at the public relations events he and Brian attended. Dep
will be missed by his teammates and all that knew him.
